I'm just leaving a detailed review since there aren't too many detailed ones. I was looking for a nice and simple backpack to carry my daily objects like my electronics and a book/journal. This backpack's design caught my attention, so I chose it.
Now, from checkout to delivery, it took me about a week and a half; however, according to Daily Objects, they had to redo the backpack to meet quality expectations.
Receiving it and actually being able to use it, here are my observations.
- It has a solid form. It feels like it won't be a squashed backpack over time, but instead, it will keep the nice box-like design
- The size of the bag is a little bigger than I thought, but when placed side by side with my last backpack, they were the exact same height. I'm guessing that since this backpack is more box-like, it seems bigger, but it's really not.
- The material feels sturdy and durable. The leather flap even feels premium to me.
- The inside pockets meet my needs for highlighters, pens, chargers, and drives.
- The straps are nice. They are a little hard to adjust, but you should have to adjust them once, so if anythin,g just know that they will not loosen over time
- I do agree with one of the previous reviews that mentions the zipper is a little rough. It is not a "smooth as butter" kind of zipper, but instead it feels like a heavy-duty kind of zipper.
- Something I didn't consider was the actual leather flap. Just consider the care you need to have, since it's not a "hike in whatever kind of weather" type of backpack.
- When unzipping the backpack, it will not open as wide as your usual/flimsy school backpack. It's not a pro or a con, it's just an observation
- I do like the fact that it has a little pocket for any drinks (that I thought was an elastic pocket by the previews, it's literally just a fabric pocket). Do keep in mind that you probably want to make sure your container is a secure/closed container and not one that might pop open while carrying the backpack
- The laptop sleeve has nice premium padding on it, which keeps my mind at ease
- A nice feature that I don't quite see in the preview/pictures is a little leather rope keychain holder, I suppose for your keys
The designers did great on this backpack.
Overall, it is a great product. Just don't expect to be your backpack for school/work/hiking/traveling all in one. It is a minimal, premium, unique, cozy backpack. Hope this helps!
