Carter Gill, a New York-based illustrator conjures an enchanting, otherworldly place where nature and intricate patterns intertwine to create a surreal landscape and set the background for the self-discovery journey of a robot. Gill uses unique and impressionable inkwork and spot colours to give each artwork a deep meditative quality.

“There's obviously a really technical component to inkwork, but I find that the patterns and rhythms in it are also where a lot of the emotion gets communicated.”
